Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Texas seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide pediatric speech therapy under physician orders, primarily in patients' homes or daytime facilities. The role emphasizes collaboration with the care team and delivering patient-centered interventions.

Eligible candidates are bilingual (English/Spanish) with Texas SLPA licensure and a minimum of 6 months full-time clinical experience in pediatrics; home health experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders
• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility
• Schedules weekly supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising SLP according to Texas board guidelines
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient
• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
