Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Garland, TX is seeking a bilingual SLPA to support pediatric clients in home health and clinic settings. You will provide skilled speech therapy services under physician orders, coordinate with supervising SLP, and collaborate with the care team.

Candidates must have Texas SLPA licensure, be fluent in English and Spanish, and have at least 6 months of full-time pediatric experience; home health experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual English/Spanish.
• Current Texas SLPA licensure is required.
• At least 6 months of full-time clinical experience in pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders.
• Delivers services in patients' home or daytime facility.
• Schedules weekly supervision visits with supervising SLP per Texas guidelines.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address patient goals.
• Plans care to meet speech therapy goals.
• Keeps knowledge current by reading, networking and engaging in professional activities.
• Seeks opportunities to enhance patient outcomes and team value.

• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
