Job summary

Lukos is hiring a Social Worker - Custody and Removal Coordinator in Conroe, TX. The CRC supports ERO Field Office staff and detention facilities, addressing detainee concerns and facilitating access to services such as medical, mental health, and family reunification resources.

The role requires bilingual English/Spanish abilities, strong case-management skills, and experience working with vulnerable populations in a detention or custodial setting. Availability for site-based work is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social work, Psychology, or an equivalent degree.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, written and oral.
• Master’s degree or an equivalent advanced degree preferred but not required.
• Experience working with victims or immigrants and trauma-informed programming is valued.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist detainees with requests and complaints via ICE processes.
• Support ERO on parent/child communication and child welfare matters.
• Coordinate disability accommodations with detention facilities.
• Facilitate discussions on sensitive topics (sexual abuse, pregnancy, etc.).
• Provide language interpretation for detained noncitizens and staff.
