Job summary

Lukos LLC in Conroe, TX is seeking a Social Worker to serve as Custody and Removal Coordinator to support ICE detention facilities and staff. The role focuses on trauma-informed care, victim support, and crisis response within a detention environment.

The CRC will work at designated ICE sites, provide language interpretation, assist with release planning, and coordinate services to detainees, their families, and vulnerable populations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Psychology; accredited by a recognized entity.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, written and oral.
• Minimum 2 years in case management and services to vulnerable populations.
• Experience with victims or individuals in custodial settings.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist detained noncitizens with ICE-related requests via forms and communications.
• Support ERO officers with parent/child communication and child welfare involvement.
• Coordinate disability accommodations with detention facilities as requested by ERO HQ.
• Facilitate compliance with agency policies and detention standards; communicate with detained noncitizens.
• Provide language interpretation for facility and ERO staff.
• Offer noncitizen referrals for care and follow-up (medical, mental health, chaplain, etc.).
• Support specialized housing units and programs for vulnerable populations.
• Meet newly detained noncitizens to answer questions and orient them to CRC services.
• Develop and maintain a national resource database for CRC and ERO use.
