Job summary

Lukos LLC seeks a Social Worker / Custody and Removal Coordinator to support ICE detainee operations in Taylor, TX. The role focuses on providing trauma-informed services, advocacy, and language support for detained individuals.

The position requires a bachelor’s in social work or psychology, with preferred mastery of Spanish and English. Responsibilities include intake, referrals, disability accommodations, and coordination with ERO and detention facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or equivalent.
• Master's degree preferred but not required.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Assist detained noncitizens with needs, requests, and complaints via ICE forms or other means.
• Support ERO staff with parent/child communication and child welfare involvement.
• Coordinate disability accommodations and follow up with detention facilities upon Disability Accommodation Notification submission.
• Help ensure compliance with agency policies and detention standards; communicate with detained noncitizens.
• Address questions about services and provide noncitizen referrals for medical, mental health, chaplain, and other follow ups.
• Conduct wellness checks and follow ups for vulnerable noncitizens as requested by ERO HQ/Field Office.
• Meet newly detained noncitizens to answer questions and provide orientation to CRC services.
• Support specialized housing units and programs for vulnerable populations (transgender housing, behavioral/mental health units, etc.).
• Provide language interpretation for facility staff and detained individuals.
