Job summary

Lukos LLC seeks a Social Worker/Custody and Removal Coordinator to support ICE detainees in Alvarado, TX. The role focuses on responding to detained individuals’ needs, providing trauma-informed support, and coordinating with ERO staff across facilities.

The position requires bilingual English/Spanish capability, strong communication, and experience in case management. It involves planning removal and release, facilitating accommodations, and maintaining a national resource database for CRC/ERO

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or an equivalent degree.
• Master's degree or an equivalent advanced degree preferred but not required.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Assist with needs, requests from detained noncitizens regarding non-officer or immigration case related issues.
• Assist ERO officers with addressing noncitizen requests related to parent/child communication and/or child welfare involvement.
• Provide language interpretation for facility and ERO staff communicating with the detained noncitizen population.
• Address ERO and detention facility staff questions or concerns about specific noncitizens, including available services.
• Provide noncitizen referrals to appropriate ERO and detention facility staff for care and follow-up.
• Support noncitizens with specialized needs or requiring heightened attention and conduct wellness checks.
• Meet with newly detained noncitizens during or after intake to answer questions and provide orientation to CRC services.
• Develop and maintain a national resource database of resources for CRC and ERO use.
