Job summary

Lukos LLC is seeking a Social Worker/Custody and Removal Coordinator in Dilley, TX to support ICE custody operations. The role focuses on assisting detainees, coordinating with ERO staff, and ensuring access to services such as health care, trauma support, and family communications.

Responsibilities include intake orientation, disability accommodations, language interpretation, and developing release or removal plans while liaising with detention facilities to uphold standards and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social work, Psychology, or equivalent degree.
• Master's degree or equivalent advanced degree preferred but not required.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Assist with detainee needs, requests, and complaints related to non-officer or immigration case issues.
• Assist ERO officers with parent/child communication and child welfare involvement.
• Coordinate disability accommodations and follow up with detention facilities upon request.
• Support ERO and detention facility staff to ensure policy and detention standards compliance.
• Provide language interpretation for facility and ERO staff interacting with detainees.
• Refer noncitizens to appropriate staff for care and follow-up to prevent critical incidents.
• Conduct wellness checks and follow-ups for vulnerable individuals as requested.
• Meet new detainees to provide orientation to CRC services and facility procedures.
• Support housing units and programs for vulnerable populations, e.g., transgender housing, mental health units, reunification.
• Develop and maintain a national resource database for CRC and ERO use.
