Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. The role may assume shift management in the absence of store leadership and encourages bilingual applicants.

Responsibilities include leading a team, handling orders and transfers, processing returns, invoicing merchandise, and ensuring adherence to schedules and policies.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills required.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
• ASE Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the showroom floor and ensure program execution.
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders promptly.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure.
• Process retail returns and exchanges, issue refunds, and stage returned merchandise.
• Ensure merchandise is invoiced before leaving the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks.
• Monitor work schedules, deviations, and clock-ins/outs per policy.
• Perform store opening/closing duties and day-end procedures.
