Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations.

You will lead a store team, handle transfers, returns, and invoicing, and perform day-end procedures with shift management in the absence of leadership. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and will be considered for growth.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience preferred, automotive parts knowledge a plus.
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
• ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom and ensure policy-compliant handling of calls and transfers.
• Ensure all buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders are processed promptly and that customers are contacted on shipment arrivals.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently using the outside purchase order ledger.
• Process returns/exchanges, issue refunds correctly, and stage returned merchandise appropriately.
• Invoice merchandise including core charges and warranties before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure adherence to posted schedules, approvals for deviations, and accurate clocking in/out.
• Perform opening/closing duties, secure money/deposits, prepare bank deposits, secure the building, and check delivery vehicles.
• All other duties as assigned.
