Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This role may assume shift management in the absence of leadership and welcomes bilingual candidates.

Responsibilities include supervising showroom service, processing orders and transfers, handling returns, and ensuring accurate invoicing and merchandise security.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
• ASE Certification is desirable.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in delivering excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels in the showroom and ensure team executes service programs.
• Answer telephone according to policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, transfers, and add orders promptly and notify customers on shipment arrivals.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently using ledger.
• Process returns and exchanges, issue refunds accurately, and stage merchandise.
• Ensure merchandise is invoiced before leaving the store (including core charges and warranties).
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure adherence to work schedules and proper clocking in/out.
• Perform store opening/closing duties and day-end procedures, banking, and security checks.
• All other duties as assigned.
