Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist in Tomball, TX to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. The role includes shift management in the absence of leadership. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

The position emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and frontline store support, with responsibilities spanning customer service, order processing, returns, and daily store procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge
• ASE Certification
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom including program execution (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot).
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store transfers, and DC add orders promptly and contact customers on shipment arrivals.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently using the outside purchase order ledger.
• Process returns and exchanges; issue refunds with correct payment methods.
• Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks.
• Ensure adherence to posted work schedule and proper clocking in/out.
• Perform store opening/closing duties and day-end procedures; manage money/deposits and security checks.
• All other duties as assigned.
