Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care in Orlando, FL seeks a Referral and Scheduling Coordinator to pre-register patients for exams and coordinate with outside specialists. You will handle routine administrative tasks, manage phone calls, and communicate prep instructions to patients and referring providers.

The role supports Humana's CenterWell network, works onsite, and reports to the Medical Referrals Supervisor. Strong Microsoft Office, medical terminology, and EMR experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 2 years of hands-on referrals healthcare experience in a clinical setting, preferably within the Medicare population.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Proficient in medical terminology.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records.
• Excellent professional communication abilities at all levels and with patients.
• This role is patient facing and part of the TB screening program.
• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and pre-register patients for exams and procedures with specialists.
• Manage incoming and outgoing calls approximately 80% of the time.
• Communicate prep instructions to patients and referring providers.
• Operate under defined policies and guidelines with supervision.
