You will schedule and pre-register patients for exams with outside specialists, manage high-volume calls, and communicate prep instructions to patients and referring providers. The role requires 2 years of referrals healthcare experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR, and strong communication.

Formación

• 2 years of hands-on referrals healthcare experience in a clinical setting, preferably within the Medicare population.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Proficient in medical terminology.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records.
• Excellent professional communication abilities with patients and colleagues.
• TB screening program involvement and willingness to be screened.
• Passionate about contributing to a consumer-focused organization.

Responsabilidades

• Schedule and pre-register patients for exams and procedures with outside specialists.
• Gathers and communicates prep instructions to patients and referring providers.
• Manage both incoming and outgoing phone calls, about 80% of the time.
• Report to the Medical Referrals Supervisor within defined policies.
• Maintain professional communication and accurate documentation.
