CenterWell Senior Primary Care in Orlando, FL is seeking a Referral and Scheduling Coordinator to schedule and pre-register patients for exams and procedures with external specialists. The role includes handling administrative tasks and managing approximately 80% of calls, reporting to the Medical Referrals Supervisor.

This patient-facing position participates in the TB screening program and requires TB screening if selected.

Formación

• 2 years of hands-on referrals healthcare experience in a clinical setting
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Proficient in medical terminology
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records
• Excellent professional communication abilities, at all levels within the organization and with patients
• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration
• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Knowledge of ICD 10 and CPT coding
• Medical Assistant or Professional State Certifications related to healthcare

Responsabilidades

• The Referral and Scheduling Coordinator schedules and pre-registers patients for exams and procedures with specialists and providers outside of the primary care physician's office.
• Performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks.
• Typically works on routine and patterned assignments.
• Reports to the Medical Referrals Supervisor.
• Gathers and communicates all relative information and preparation instructions to patient and referring providers.
• Decisions are limited to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities and timing, and works under close supervision and/or within established policies/practices and guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation.
• Manages both incoming and outgoing phone calls approximately 80% of the time.
• This role is patient facing and is part of the TB screening program.
• If selected for this role, you will be screened for TB.
