Job summary

Salud Para La Gente, Inc. is seeking a Lead Patient Services Coordinator to advance healthcare quality by managing patient registration, data entry, and payment collection using the CARE delivery model.

The role collaborates with medical and dental staff, supports dashboard reporting, and upholds HIPAA compliance. It requires bilingual Spanish/English and at least one year in a medical office environment.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Fluent bilingual Spanish/English with cultural competence.
• Minimum of one year’s experience in medical office receptionist and/or records.
• Experience with computer medical entry.
• Excellent alphabetical and numerical skills for filing and payment processing.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients with a welcoming, empathetic approach.
• Register and orient patients to clinic policies and services.
• Enter and update patient registration information in the practice management system.
• Verify patient income or payer information and collect amounts due.
• Answer calls professionally and schedule appointments per protocol.
• Prepare daily clinic dashboard tracking sheets and monitor appointment capacity.
• Collaborate with medical/dental staff to improve workflow and patient access.
