Job summary

Mucho Red is seeking a bilingual Patient Care Coordinator/Representative to serve as a key contact for patients, providers, and healthcare professionals in the U.S. This role supports patient communication, appointment coordination, follow-ups, and accurate record management within EHR systems, ensuring HIPAA compliance.

The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Spanish, have strong organizational skills, and prior customer service experience.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and Spanish with excellent verbal and written communication.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inbound calls from patients, providers, and healthcare professionals in a courteous and professional manner.
• Handle outbound calls to follow up with patients, schedule appointments, and support continuity of care.
• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments with internal providers and external specialists.
• Ensure timely follow-ups, referrals, and medical procedures are properly coordinated.
• Enter, update, and maintain patient information in electronic health records (EHR) and patient portals.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality in handling patient data.
• Coordinate referrals and communications between patients, providers, and related entities.
• Monitor and support patients’ ongoing care to ensure effective treatment plans.
