Job summary

Family Health Centers at NYU Langone in Brooklyn seeks a Patient Service Associate to support Registration, Appointments and Cashiering, with bilingual Spanish capabilities within Women’s Health.

You will greet patients, collect demographics, verify insurance, schedule visits (including virtual), and ensure data accuracy while maintaining HIPAA standards. Strong MS Office skills and customer service are required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in an administrative/office role.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and data entry.
• Ability to type a minimum of 20 words per minute.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and maintain professional customer service.
• Schedule appointments, including virtual visits, per policies.
• Register patients and verify demographics and insurance details.
• Collect payments and assist with cashiering per policy.
• Translate as needed to support patient interactions.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and accurate data entry.
