Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care, a Humana subsidiary, is seeking a Referral Coordinator to prepare and process managed care referral paperwork, pre-register patients for exams, and coordinate appointments with external providers. You will work within a team focused on delivering excellent service and patient experiences.

The role emphasizes healthcare terminology, patient communication, and documentation accuracy, with TB screening requirements.

Qualifications

• Less than 3 years of hands-on healthcare experience in a clinical setting.
• Proficient with medical terminology.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and processes all managed care referral paperwork.
• Gathers information from physicians and staff to complete referrals.
• Contacts offices to obtain appointments for referrals.
• Maintains referral records and documentation.
• Responds to patient inquiries regarding health plan referrals.
• Maintains HIPAA confidentiality and compliance.
