Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a patient access coordinator to greet callers, schedule appointments, and coordinate with physicians and staff. The role requires professionalism, English communication, and basic MS Office skills; weekend coverage and 12-hour shifts are part of the schedule.

Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR experience are preferred. This position offers benefits from day one and requires eligibility for Florida background screening as applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equivalency required.
• Prior experience in a medical/clinic office is preferred.
• Proficient in English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answers the telephone in a professional and polite manner and notifies appropriate personnel.
• Updates information in the EMR as necessary and verifies benefits.
• Collaborates with navigators, schedulers, physicians, and office staff.
• Responds to referrals promptly and manages multiple assignments with attention to detail.
• Supports 12-hour shifts, weekend and holiday coverage as needed.
