Job summary

CenterWell Referral Coordinator/HIMS in Richardson, TX, schedules and pre-registers patients for exams and procedures with outside specialists, performing varied administrative tasks in a patient-facing role.

You will gather and share prep instructions with patients and referring providers, following policy with discretion, while supporting the TB screening program and related workflows.

Qualifications

• You will have 2 years of hands-on healthcare experience in a clinical setting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Proficient with medical terminology.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and pre-registers patients for exams and procedures with specialists outside the primary care physician’s office.
• Gathers and communicates all relative information and preparation instructions to patient and referring providers.
• Reports to the Supervisor, Medical Referrals and performs moderately complex administrative tasks.
