Job summary

Valeris is seeking a patient services professional to manage care coordination tasks, communicate with patients, and assist with benefits and coverage explanations. The role requires strong customer service in healthcare, bilingual abilities, and adherence to regulatory standards, with flexible weekday evening hours.

Responsibilities include welcome calls, benefits investigations, and documenting activities in our Lynk system, while maintaining high service levels and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or equivalent experience; high school diploma/GED also acceptable
• Customer service and healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work an 8.5-hour shift between 8 am to 9 pm, Monday to Friday
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish or Chinese/Mandarin is a plus
• Commitment to the mission of care coordination
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with patients by proactive communication and timely, accurate services
• Ensure all interactions comply with applicable healthcare laws and regulations
• Conduct program welcome calls to patients, explain available services and resources
• Explain coverage options and benefits clearly to patients
• Document patient enrollment and interactions in the Lynk system
• Identify and communicate patients' plan benefit coverage and any prior authorizations or formulary exclusions
