Job summary

Qualifications

• 1+ year of relevant medical experience
• Knowledge of EMR systems
• Strong computer skills including MS Word and Excel
• Bilingual English/Spanish required

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to every patient
• Coordinate patient visits to ensure proper progress of treatment plans
• Educate patients on treatment plans, policies, and financial responsibilities
• Schedule treatment plans with physicians and patients
• Track referrals and treatment plans with patients
• Assist patients to set goals and identify problems when goals aren’t met
• Assist patients with completion of paperwork
• Respond to patient inquiries with compassion and timeliness
• Process medical insurance information and verify eligibility
• Ensure compliance of physician-created treatment plans
• Maintain confidentiality of personal information (HIPAA)
• Ensure all patient information is in the system for follow-up and reporting
• Provide advocacy, information, and referral services to patients
• Act as a back-up to other team members
• Other duties as assigned
