Job summary

All Care Health Center in Council Bluffs, IA seeks a Patient Access Representative to greet patients, schedule appointments, verify insurance, collect payments and resolve billing discrepancies with a friendly, patient-first approach.

This full-time role (40 hours) offers a starting wage of $16.50 per hour, benefits including medical/dental/vision, life and LTD, 401(k) with company match, and opportunities for bilingual pay in Spanish; scheduling includes Mon-Thu 8-7, Fri 8-5, Sat 8-12.

Qualifications

• At least one year customer service experience; healthcare setting strongly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of computer systems and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service through face to face or phone interactions with patients and team members.
• Register patients accurately and verify insurance eligibility.
• Collect nominal fees, insurance copays and account balance payments.
• Assist with incoming calls and transfer to appropriate departments.
• Monitor waiting room and ensure timely assistance to patients and visitors.
• Complete appointment reminder calls per clinic specifications.
• Update sliding fee information according to ACHC guidelines.
• Audit account types and update daily input as needed.
• Collaborate with nursing and providers to coordinate appointments.
