Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an administrative support professional for a fast-paced ambulatory setting. You will act as the primary interface between patients and the medical team, handling scheduling, referrals, pre-certifications, and billing coordination.

The role requires Spanish language proficiency and at least 1 year in healthcare or customer service, plus strong data entry, typing, and digital literacy.

Qualifications

• Spanish language proficiency required.
• 1+ years’ experience in healthcare or customer service.
• Understanding of managed care and insurance coverage.
• Digital literacy with Windows-based applications.
• Typing and data entry skills.
• Prior customer service experience.
• Knowledge of EPIC, MEDITECH & BICS is a plus.
• Willing to complete Epic training and work at least 30 hours, Mon-Fri days.
• Reliable, flexible, punctual with strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to healthcare providers in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.
• Schedule patient appointments, diagnostic testing, and surgeries.
• Acquire referrals and pre-certifications as needed.
• Register and update demographic, PCP, and insurance information.
• Collect co-payments and fees and coordinate billing details.
• Answer phones, triage calls, and manage clerical tasks.
• Photocopy, fax, and file documents.
