Seneca Resources seeks a hands-on network/desktop support specialist to provide technical support for employees, computers, peripherals, and network-connected equipment in an onsite Capitol Heights facility. The role requires 3–4 years of desktop/IT support experience, strong troubleshooting, and experience with Active Directory and Microsoft 365.

The environment is cloud-based with M365, AD, some VMware. Occasional travel to other locations and remote/onsite support to several sites; English

Qualifications

• Approximately 3–4 years of relevant desktop support, IT support, or combined network/desktop support experience.
• Hands‑on experience troubleshooting computers, peripherals, and basic network connectivity.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
• Ability to diagnose technical problems methodically and recognize when escalation is needed.
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• A proactive, dependable approach to managing support requests.
• Willingness to work onsite in an industrial environment and travel occasionally to other locations.

Responsabilités

• Provide onsite and remote technical support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and company-issued mobile devices.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, user-access, and basic network connectivity issues.
• Support users and administrative tasks within Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
• Troubleshoot connectivity between computers and specialized operational equipment.
• Assist with support of remaining server and VMware infrastructure.
• Support employees at additional company locations remotely, with occasional travel when hands‑on assistance is needed.
• Document support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
• Help improve support processes, knowledge documentation, and ticket tracking.
• Communicate clearly with users of varying technical backgrounds and follow issues through resolution.
• Learn site-specific systems and follow applicable facility safety procedures.
