Job summary

Verda Health Plan of Texas is seeking a Member Experience Advocate – Bilingual (Vietnamese/English) to join our onsite team in Carrollton. You will handle enrollment, claims, benefits interpretation, and member inquiries across phone, email, and in-person interactions.

This role emphasizes empathy, problem-solving, and accurate documentation in our HIPAA-compliant systems. You will work with members, providers, and caregivers to explain benefits, resolve issues, and support retention.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Vietnamese required; excellent communication skills.
• 1–2 years of call center or similar customer service experience.
• 1–2 years of prior experience with Medicare/Medicare Advantage plans.
• Healthcare, insurance, or pharmacy industry experience is desirable.
• Ability to maintain composure and provide quality service during high call volumes.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Explain benefits and plan options in person, via email, or by phone.
• Follow up to clarify issues and identify solutions.
• Escalate issues to management when needed.
• Meet or exceed departmental quality, productivity, and attendance standards.
• Handle omnichannel interactions and in-person discussions with members.
• Take ownership and resolve member issues with options.
• Increase member satisfaction by timely follow-up and coordination with providers.
• Participate in member calling projects to support retention.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and HIPAA requirements.
• Document interactions in the member records.
• Collaborate with other departments as needed.
• Attend team meetings and training.
• Support schedule adherence and performance goals.
• Other duties as assigned.
