Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a bilingual Spanish Medical Scribe to support primary care providers with clinical documentation in a fast-paced clinic setting. You will observe patient visits, document encounters in structured notes, and assist with coding and care coordination.

Ideal candidates have medical terminology knowledge, clinical exposure, Spanish fluency, and the ability to type quickly while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Full-time in-clinic hours with strong teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications.
• Prior clinical experience, including shadowing or volunteering.
• Fluency in Spanish or other languages spoken by communities served.

Responsibilities

• Join the provider in exam rooms to observe visits and document encounters.
• Document encounters in structured notes with HPI, assessment, plan, and exam.
• Assign CPT and ICD-10 codes and prepare after-visit summaries.
• Support care team with administrative tasks related to documentation.
