Qualifications

• 3–5 years of HR experience with employee relations and compliance.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish required.
• Deep knowledge of California labor law.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations.
• Proficient with HRIS and Microsoft Office.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with HR team and leaders.
• Commitment to delivering excellent internal customer service.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary HR resource for routine employee relations; guide managers and employees on policies.
• Coach managers through attendance, performance, conduct, and timekeeping issues; enforce policy consistency.
• Prepare, review, and retain corrective action documentation including Warnings and PIPs.
• Conduct routine workplace investigations and document findings.
• Partner with HR Business Partners on complex matters; escalate discrimination or legal risks.
• Support managers through employee separations; prepare documentation.
• Monitor HR trends and suggest process improvements.
• Maintain accurate employee records; ensure compliance with laws and recordkeeping.
• Assist with policy development, communication and implementation.
• Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and turnover metrics.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and workflows.
• Coordinate collection of records for legal requests and audits.
