Job summary

Hanjin Intermodal America, Inc. in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to serve as a strategic and hands-on HR partner focused on employee relations, investigations, engagement, and policy compliance.

You will manage complex employee concerns, conduct objective investigations, advise management on corrective actions, and ensure consistent handling of matters in line with company policy and employment laws.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish strongly preferred.
• Maintain fair, neutral, and objective stance when assessing employee concerns and making recommendations.
• Excellent note-taking, documentation, interviewing, and written communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR practices (harassment, discrimination, leaves, discipline, termination).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary HR contact for employee grievances, workplace conflicts, benefits questions, onboarding, and other lifecycle questions.
• Conduct thorough, impartial workplace investigations with interviews and documentation review.
• Advise and coach managers on performance management, disciplinary actions, terminations, conflict resolution, and policy application.
• Support compliance with employment laws and HR practices, including accommodations and leaves.
• Maintain confidential employee relations records and identify recurring issues for policy or training improvements.
