Job summary

BlackHawk Corrugated is seeking a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Human Resources Generalist to partner with plant leadership in a manufacturing environment. The role supports employee relations, compliance, talent management, and workforce planning with a focus on safety and engagement.

The position requires strong Spanish and English communication, 5+ years of HR experience, and knowledge of employment laws. A Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field is required, with Paycom and Microsoft Office

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong working knowledge of employment law and employee relations practices.
• Proven ability to influence leaders, exercise sound judgment, and handle sensitive and confidential matters independently.
• Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and high ethical standards.
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an HR advisor to plant leadership, providing strategic and hands-on HR support aligned with objectives.
• Partner with operations leaders on workforce planning, headcount management, labor cost control, and staffing strategies.
• Identify people-related risks, talent gaps, and retention challenges; recommend and implement solutions.
• Support organizational change initiatives, including restructuring, growth, automation, and process improvements.
• Lead full-cycle recruitment for hourly and technical roles.
• Forecast workforce needs based on production schedules and attrition trends.
• Develop and execute recruiting strategies to attract manufacturing talent.
• Enhance onboarding to support safety, engagement, and early retention.
