Yami, based in California, is seeking a proactive HR Generalist to support HR operations, employee relations, planning, and people initiatives across our corporate office and fulfillment operations.

The role collaborates with business leaders and the HR team to address daily workforce needs, implement compliant HR practices, and provide practical solutions that boost employee experience and business efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on HR Generalist experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English and Spanish or Japanese or Korean is required.
• Experience supporting hourly employees and knowledge of California employment laws.
• Experience with HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping systems.

Responsibilities

• Support daily HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, records, attendance, and lifecycle processes.
• Serve as a key HR resource for policies, workplace concerns, and manager guidance.
• Handle employee relations matters including investigations and disciplinary documentation.
• Forecast labor requirements with leadership and monitor staffing against plans.
• Coordinate recruitment for high-volume hiring and staffing agencies.
• Ensure compliance with federal and local labor laws and maintain records.
• Identify HR process improvements and support manager training.
