Barbour Orthopaedics is seeking a Front Desk Associate in Lawrenceville, GA. You will be the first point of contact for patients, greeting visitors, handling phone calls, scheduling, and verifying insurance.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, basic medical insurance knowledge, and experience with EMR/EHR systems. This role requires attention to detail and excellent communication while supporting a busy orthopedic office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 6 months of customer service experience with basic medical insurance knowledge.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• ASC/Medical Office experience preferred.
• EMR/EHR experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Collect and enter patient data and verify accuracy.
• Prepare paperwork for patient appointments.
• Verify patient insurance or financial responsibility.
• Collect payments prior to visits.
• Greet patients and check in; monitor wait times.
• Answer calls and direct to appropriate departments.
• Schedule appointments and manage reminders.
• Maintain office supply levels and assist with opening/closing procedures.
