Job summary

Barbour Orthopaedics & Sports is seeking a Lead Front Desk Associate to lead the clinic’s front desk team and ensure exceptional patient service. The role focuses on staff development, process optimization, and accurate patient registration in a fast-paced orthopedic setting.

You will supervise front desk operations, train new hires, manage scheduling, and uphold HIPAA privacy standards while maintaining a professional, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year supervising or leading employees.
• Minimum of two years front desk/healthcare administrative experience.
• Ability to train, coach, and mentor staff while upholding standards.
• Strong knowledge of front desk operations, scheduling, and insurance verification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead front desk team and develop workflows.
• Train new hires on procedures and NexGen/Luma system use.
• Ensure patient communication and adherence to dress code standards.
• Oversee front desk processes and system updates; implement new workflows.
• Monitor scheduling, resolve conflicts, and escalate to BOM as needed.
• Audit patient registration for demographic and insurance accuracy.
