Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Must complete background checks and TB health screening.
• Must be bilingual in Spanish to communicate with parents.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with goal completion per support plan.
• Provide ADL assistance (bathing, grooming, meals) as needed.
• Safely transport individuals in company or personal vehicles.
• Accompany individuals to community activities.
• Complete documentation in EHR timely.
• Engage with individuals at home and in the community.
• Uphold rights and HIPAA confidentiality.
• Follow policies and maintain professional boundaries.
• DSPs are mandated reporters; report abuse/neglect immediately.
• Administer prescribed medication after training.
• Must be proficient with technology.
• Must remain awake and alert during shifts.
• Must perform physical tasks (lifting, transfers).
• Other duties as assigned.
