Job summary

Amivie, LLC in Burlington, NC seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals to provide direct care for individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, mental health, and substance use challenges. You will support motor skills, communication, socialization, and daily living activities with dignity and respect.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, documenting in EHR, transporting clients safely, and promoting community integration.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must successfully complete all background checks.
• Must successfully complete health screening (TB screening).

Responsibilities

• Assist the individuals with goal completion as documented in the individualized support plan.
• Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs); i.e. bathing, grooming, feeding, etc.
• Safely transport Individual(s) in company or personally owned vehicles.
• Accompany the Individual(s) to community integration activities.
• Complete all required documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) timely.
• Actively engage with Individual(s) in their home and community.
• Uphold, respect, and advocate for Individual rights at all times.
• Adhere to HIPAA and maintain confidentiality of information.
• Establish and uphold professional boundaries in all interactions.
• DSPs are mandated reporters for abuse/neglect or exploitation.
• Administer prescribed medications upon training.
• Must be proficient with technology.
• Must remain awake and alert for the duration of shifts.
• Must perform physical duties (e.g. lifting, transfers).
• Other duties as assigned.
