Job summary

Amivie, LLC is seeking DSPs to provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and related needs. You will work to meet individualized goals, assist with ADLs, and transport clients to community activities while maintaining professional, ethical standards.

Attention to privacy, documentation in the EHR, and adherence to mandated reporting are essential. The role requires staying alert during shifts and meeting health screening and background check

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must successfully complete background checks.
• Must successfully complete health screening (TB).

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with goals documented in the support plan.
• Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Safely transport individuals in company or personal vehicles.
• Accompany individuals to community activities.
• Complete documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) in a timely manner.
• Engage with individuals in home and community.
• Uphold rights and advocate for individuals at all times.
• Ensure HIPAA privacy and confidentiality.
• Adhere to company policies and maintain professional boundaries.
• DSPs are mandated reporters to report suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation.
• Administer prescribed medications after training.
• Must be proficient with technology and stay awake for shifts.
• Must perform physical tasks (lifting, transfers).
