Job summary

Amivie, LLC is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities during Saturday and Sunday shifts (12pm–5pm). You will provide direct care, assist with ADLs, and help individuals build daily living skills while documenting care in the EHR and ensuring safety during transportation and community activities.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver's license in good standing
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must successfully complete all background checks
• Must successfully complete health screening (TB screening) (may vary based on State/Programming requirements)

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with goals documented in the individualized support plan.
• Provide ADL assistance (bathing, grooming, feeding, etc.) based on individual needs.
• Safely transport individuals in company or personal vehicles.
• Accompany individuals to community activities.
• Complete required documentation in the EHR in a timely manner.
• Engage with individuals in home and community; uphold rights and confidentiality.
• Adhere to company policies and maintain professional boundaries.
• DSPs are mandated reporters for abuse, neglect or exploitation.
• Administer prescribed medications upon training completion.
• Remain awake and alert for the duration of shifts.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting and transfers as needed.
