Job summary

Amivie, LLC is seeking DSPs to provide direct care and supportive services for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, mental health, or substance use needs. The role focuses on ADLs, skill-building, and community activities while maintaining professional, respectful relationships.

Responsibilities include documentation in the EHR, medication assistance after training, and upholding rights and privacy.

Qualifications

Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Valid driver’s license in good standing.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must successfully complete all background checks.
TB health screening may vary based on state requirements.

Responsibilities

Assist individuals with goal completion as documented in the individualized support plan.
Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation.
Safely transport individuals in company or personal vehicles.
Accompany individuals to community integration activities.
Complete all required documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) timely.
Actively engage with individuals in their home and community.
Uphold and advocate for individual rights while maintaining privacy and HIPAA compliance.
Establish professional boundaries and maintain ethical, objective relationships.
DSPs are mandated reporters and must report suspected abuse or neglect.
Administer prescribed medications after completion of training.
Must be proficient with technology and remain awake and alert during shifts.
Must be able to perform physical tasks (lifting, transfers).
Other duties as assigned.
