Job summary

Universal Processing is hiring a Business Development Associate for an on-site role in New York. You will be the brand ambassador, introducing our payments solutions to clients and building relationships with small to medium-sized businesses.

The position includes a one-month paid training period, medical/vision/dental coverage, generous PTO, and a 401k plan. Base pay starts at 27.00/hour during probation and rises to 30.00/hour after successful completion.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the US; we are an E-Verify employer.
• Bilingual Spanish reading and writing is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Sales or customer service experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, detail-oriented and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Gather leads, conduct cold calls, and schedule appointments to develop new business.
• Engage conversations with SMB owners by introducing products and services.
• Obtain business information and input lead data into databases.
• Gather credit card processing statements for pricing analysis and financial context.
• Follow up with potential clients to develop opportunities.
• Manage the sales pipeline and payment strategy for long-term success.
• Meet and exceed sales targets.
