Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Inc. in the United States is seeking a bilingual Customer Care Representative II to support billing inquiries and patient communications. This role handles up to 70 calls daily, translating medical terms into plain language and resolving complex issues with empathy.

Salary includes a range with benefits, and training is provided with full-time hours from Monday to Friday. After training, shifts run 8:30 AM–8:00 PM ET with potential overtime based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Bi-lingual English/Spanish proficiency required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of call-center experience handling high volume inbound calls.
• 1+ year of experience in a medical office/health care setting resolving patient health care concerns.
• Knowledge of healthcare claims billing/finance and eligibility processes.
• Ability to translate healthcare jargon into simple language for customers.
• Proficient in Windows PC applications and navigating healthcare software.
• Ability to work nine-hour shifts Monday-Friday 8:30 AM–8:00 PM ET after training.
• Commitment to full-time attendance during training period.

Responsibilities

• Answer a high volume of calls from patients or their representatives, translating medical terminology into easy-to-understand information.
• Research, troubleshoot and resolve complex billing issues and customer complaints to ensure full resolution.
• Navigate Quest Billing System and other applications.
• Maintain tracking log of all patient contacts.
• Perform additional projects or tasks based on business need.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations at all times.
