Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a bilingual Customer Service Representative II to support billing inquiries and help patients navigate their health plans. The role includes handling up to 70 calls daily, translating medical terms, and resolving complex issues with care and empathy.

Full-time, Monday–Friday schedule with 9-hour shifts between 8:30 AM and 8:00 PM ET; comprehensive benefits and potential bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of experience in a call center handling high-volume inbound calls.
• 1+ years of experience in a medical office/healthcare setting analyzing and resolving healthcare concerns.
• Knowledge of healthcare claims, billing/finance, and eligibility processes.
• Ability to translate healthcare jargon into simple, actionable instructions.
• Proficient with Windows PC applications and learning new software quickly.
• Ability to work 9-hour shifts on a Mon-Fri schedule between 8:30 AM–8:00 PM ET.
• Commitment to full-time training with no absences.
• Strong listening, rapport, and compassionate communication skills.
• Conflict management skills to resolve stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Answer a high volume of calls from patients or their representatives and translate medical terminology into easy-to-understand information.
• Research, troubleshoot and resolve complex billing issues and customer complaints to achieve full resolution.
• Navigate Quest Billing System and other applications.
• Maintain a tracking log of all patient contacts.
• Take on additional projects or tasks as needed by the business.
• Adhere to all compliance and HIPAA regulations.
