Role Description

The Bilingual Benefit Counselor is a hybrid role based in Clearwater, FL, with the flexibility to perform some work from home. In this role, you will conduct one-on-one and group benefit counseling sessions in English and Spanish, helping employees understand their benefit options and make informed choices. You will explain insurance products and employee benefit plans, assist with enrollment, and address questions to ensure clarity and confidence in benefit elections. Daily activities include providing high-quality customer service, supporting onsite and virtual enrollment meetings, documenting interactions accurately, and collaborating with brokers, HR teams, and internal staff. You will also participate in training and ongoing education to stay current on products, compliance requirements, and industry trends.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Employee Benefits and Insurance, with the ability to explain plan details clearly and accurately.
• Demonstrated Customer Service skills, including active listening, empathy, and effective problem resolution.
• Experience in Training and educating employees or clients on benefit programs and enrollment processes.
• Sales skills with the ability to present options, guide decisions ethically, and support voluntary benefit enrollment.
• Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written) to support bilingual counseling.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present information to diverse audiences.
• Comfort with technology and online enrollment platforms; proficiency in basic office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentations).
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage time effectively, and travel locally for onsite enrollment events as needed.
• Prior experience in benefits counseling, insurance, human resources, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant state insurance license or willingness to obtain one, as required by role and jurisdiction.
