Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts seeks an Assistant Store Manager to back up the Store Manager in driving sales, delivering outstanding customer service, and maintaining store appearance and operations. The role involves leading a team, coaching staff, and participating in hiring while ensuring smooth daily activities.

The position emphasizes bilingual candidates and provides opportunities for growth within a strong promote-from-within culture.

Qualifications

Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification
Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification
Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)

Responsibilities

Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
Supervise customer service levels on the showroom floor and ensure execution of service programs.
Work with the store manager to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours.
Assist the store manager in setting team goals and coaching team members on training.
Assist in recruiting tasks and interviewing candidates with management.
Ensure telephone is answered per company policy and transfers are processed promptly.
Oversee buy online/ship to store and DC add orders and notify customers on shipments.
Ensure returns are processed friendly and refunds issued correctly.
Ensure all merchandise is invoiced before leaving the store.
Communicate Zipline messages and assign merchandising tasks.
