Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations. This role will lead the store team in servicing customers and will act in the manager's absence or on opposing shifts.

Qualifications

• Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification
• Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification
• Desired: Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom including program execution (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
• Work with the store manager to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours.
• Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, coaching, and training.
• Assist in hiring tasks including interviews and candidate evaluation.
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store and transfers; contact customers on shipment arrivals as needed.
• Manage outside purchases and special orders efficiently according to procedure.
• Process returns and exchanges and handle refunds with correct payment methods.
• Invoicing of merchandise including core charges and warranties before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks.
• Ensure adherence to posted work schedule and proper clock-in/out procedures.
• Perform store opening/closing duties and day-end procedures, secure deposits, and check security systems.
• Maintain store building, parking lot, signage/lighting, and delivery vehicles.
• All other duties as assigned.
