Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts in Westland, MI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations. This role will supervise the store during the Manager’s absence and help lead the team to deliver excellent service.

Qualifications

• Requires Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages, with Spanish highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom including program execution.
• Assist the store manager in staffing, scheduling, and peak-hour coverage.
• Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting qualified team members.
• Ensure calls are answered per company policy and orders are processed timely.
• Oversee returns, exchanges, invoicing, and proper payment methods.
• Ensure compliance with policies, schedules, clocking, and security procedures.
• Perform opening/closing duties and secure money, deposits, and building.
