Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations in Traverse City, MI. The role requires bilingual Spanish capability and leadership in a high-volume environment.

The candidate will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence, mentor team members, assist in hiring, and ensure efficient processing of orders, returns, and transfers while maintaining excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
• Must have Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification.
• Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom and ensure staff follow programs.
• Collaborate with the store manager to staff the retail sales counter during peak hours.
• Assist the store manager in coaching, goal setting, feedback and training of team members.
• Participate in hiring by interviewing candidates and coordinating with management.
• Ensure all orders, transfers and shipments are processed timely and customers contacted as needed.
• Oversee returns, exchanges and refunds with accurate payment methods.
• Ensure merchandise is invoiced before leaving the store and communicate Zipline messages.
