Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a part-time teacher to share gospel-centered instruction with public school students using the LifeWise curriculum. The candidate will be an active church participant, with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a caring, perceptive approach to teaching children.

Responsibilities include completing training and certification, teaching assigned LifeWise classes, maintaining records, and fostering relationships with students, volunteers, and school staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience in school or church settings.
• Mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church with doctrine aligned to LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial and ongoing training, including LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days.
• Teach LifeWise classes using the LifeWise curriculum and map curriculum customization.
• Build relationships with students and maintain a redemptive classroom environment.
• Maintain attendance, rosters, and prepare information for substitutes as needed.
• Keep classroom clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Communicate with school personnel, volunteers, and program director; share updates and photos.
