Job summary

Columbia Distributing is seeking a Sales Representative to drive beverage sales across assigned accounts, manage inventory and merchandising programs, and build strong relationships with customers in the local market.

The role requires 2+ years beverage sales experience, CSP and Cicerone certifications or progress, and a valid driver's license. Expect full-time hours with local travel and performance-based incentives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Sales Fundamentals including CSP training/certification required upon hiring.
• Cicerone level I required within one year of start date.
• Minimum two years beverage industry sales experience.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Previous grocery or retail experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory expenses in accordance with company policy.
• Interact respectfully and maintain dialogue with inter-company departments, suppliers and customers.
• Support the rotating and merchandising of product.
• Complete all required training to improve performance and effectiveness.
• Maintain a high level of industry knowledge: beer, non-alcoholic, food journals, trends, market share, etc.
• Create opportunities and develop programs appropriate to customer base.
• Submit all required reporting, preplans, trackers, surveys, market surveys (MVPs), expense report, mileage log, etc. by the required due date.
• Effectively sell the Columbia Distributing portfolio in all assigned accounts.
• Minimum visibility in assigned accounts must be equal to or greater than competition.
• Increase net core brand distribution over baseline throughout the year.
• Accomplish sales and distribution goals by executing monthly, quarterly and annual business objectives.
