Job summary

Imperial Beverage, a Michigan family-owned beverage distributor, seeks an Account Manager for the Royal Oak area. You will sell beer, wine and spirits to bars, grocery stores and restaurants, building strong customer relationships and expanding product knowledge daily.

The role is full-time with a strong commission component, requires a valid license to sell Michigan liquor, and lives in or relocates to Royal Oak. Expect a fast-paced, fun, field-based sales environment.

Qualifications

• Sales experience required; beverage sales experience preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with various types of people.
• Desire to stay up-to-date on industry trends and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Sell beverages to customers in assigned territory (bars, grocery stores, restaurants).
• Review daily route on iPad and plan stops with product samples to aid accounts.
• Greet purchasers/managers, place products on shelves and manage backstock and replenishment.
• Upload orders and create account recap for merchandisers after visits.
• Support with product sampling, events, and special promotions to drive sales.
• Collaborate with suppliers and staff to rewrite menus or lists when appropriate.
