Job summary

Jamul Casino in California is seeking a Beverage Supervisor to lead and motivate the beverage team, ensure premier guest service, and help drive department goals.

You will schedule with the manager, maintain the beverage menu and inventory, uphold health and safety standards, and support budgeting and regulatory compliance while modeling professional communication and teamwork. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; beverage or equivalent experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior gaming experience preferred.
• Minimum of one-year supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
• Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
• Must qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
• Must obtain First Aid/AED certification. Must complete CARE or TIPS training.
• Ability to earn and maintain RBS Certification within 60 days of employment.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving history.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, fast, and helpful customer service to all guests and team members.
• Supervise staff in the department and assist in achieving performance and profit goals.
• Coordinate scheduling with manager and accommodate guest satisfaction.
• Maintain product menu and assist in recording inventories.
• Uphold health department and customer service standards.
• Support compliance to departmental budgets.
• Promote and demonstrate superior customer service and address issues as they arise.
• Assist Manager with administrative duties as needed.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements within area of responsibility and report issues to management.
• Maintain confidentiality of departmental and company matters.
• Provide coaching and counseling to team members.
• Assist with development and training of staff.
• Ability to read and interpret English documents and write reports in English.
• Ability to perform mathematical operations and analyze figures.
